Haunted Progressive Tour:

This unique tour of Shirley, Berkeley and Edgewood Plantations will give an insight into the spirits and mysteries of these three historic plantations in Charles City, Virginia. Hear the haunting tales of the paranormal activities at each site on a progressive tour. The tour begins promptly at 2:45 p.m. at Shirley Plantation, continues to Berkeley and ends at Edgewood. Light refreshments will be served at Berkeley Plantation.

Check-in with the Shirley Plantation Gift Shop by 2:30 pm. The tour begins promptly at 2:45 pm. Arrive to Berkeley Plantation by 3:30 pm, and Edgewood by 4:30 pm. You will provide your own transportation to reach each location. This is a rain or shine event.

For a 3:45 PM Tour:
Check-in with the Shirley Plantation Gift Shop by 3:30 pm. The tour begins promptly at 3:45 pm. Arrive to Berkeley Plantation by 4:30 pm, and Edgewood by 5:30 pm. You will provide your own transportation to reach each location. This is a rain or shine event.

Health and Safety

We have taken enhanced health and safety measures for our visitors and staff. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting Shirley Plantation.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness or death, and according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and individuals with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

When visiting Shirley Plantation you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Upon Arrival:

• Check-in at the Gift Shop before your tour.
• Follow instructions from the Gift Shop attendant for where to meet your tour guide.

While Visiting:

• Follow the state mandate to wear a mask inside buildings and while on your tour.
• Maintain social distancing (minimum 6 ft.) from other groups.
• Follow guidelines outlined for each building (signs located at entrances
  of buildings).
• Avoid touching anything inside of buildings.

What we’re doing:

• Sanitizing buildings, touchpoints, and restrooms every two hours.
• Providing advance and online payment.
• Limiting direct interactions with guests.
• Modifying the Guided Tour to adhere to Virginia's phase 3 requirements.
