About

Our full day 10,000 Islands Everglades National Park Trip begins at the Smallwood Store. We start out paddling on Chokoloskee Bay and within 10 minutes are tucked into the heart of the 10,000 mangrove islands. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, wading birds, jumping fish, sea turtles, jumping Manta rays, White Pelicans, and much more! We will paddle out to one of our favorite isolated beaches where we will stop, relax, eat lunch. After lunch, join your naturalist guide for a beach walk to learn about intertidal beach creatures and plant life. We will then wait for the tide to turn in our favor and paddle back using the tide as a propeller. FYI, the tides and winds on this trip can be strong. At times we will be paddling in open water and be exposed to winds in some areas; this trip can only be done if the right conditions exist. With that being said, this trip is a great way to see the tropical side of the Everglades and is why this is one of the top places to paddle in the world! Are you staying for a few days in the Glades?
