• The Oceanic Ultra Dry Snorkel
  The Oceanic Ultra Dry Snorkel was designed to do exactly what it’s name suggests, be an incredibly dry snorkel to make snorkelers very confident to use the snorkel and get the most out of its use. The Ultra Dry uses a dry float valve incorporated within a wave deflector fitted to the top of the snorkel that automatically closes a valve over the top of the snorkel when taken below the surface of the water to prevent water flowing down to the mouthpiece. The valve is a significant improvement on standard ping pong ball style valves found in low quality dry snorkels, is highly responsive and does not increase breathing resistance. While on the surface the wave deflector works to help prevent any water that splashes over the top of the snorkel from flowing down the tube.
  The snorkel tube is designed to naturally follow the curvature of the head to help reduce drag. The tube is also fitted with a swiveling, quick release mask strap clip that allows quick separation of the mask and snorkel for storage. A 100% liquid silicone lower section allows complete freedom of movement for the mouthpiece section to be positioned optimally to the mouth. The corrugation of the silicone section is only on the outside, leaving the internal surface smooth in order to prevent turbulence and maintain breathing efficiency and ease.
  The lower section incorporates a purge chamber, one way purge valve and the 100% liquid silicone mouthpiece. The purge chamber and valve work to collect any water that does enter the snorkel and allow it to drain naturally through the one way valve. Water can be forced out by exhaling sharply to push it out through the valve and up the snorkel tube. The mouthpiece is made using soft liquid silicone that is very comfortable to use. To make it even more comfortable the edges have been carefully smoothed and rounded to help prevent irritation to the gums or cheeks.
