On the west shore of Lake Tahoe, we begin under the stars at the first twinkle of light. Hiking from our cars we head up the mountain to an incredible view to catch the sunrise. As we begin, we walk uphill through hidden walkways and trail networks under vast pine trees and cedars eventually gaining 300’ in elevation over a mile. This morning hike to an incredible view is intended for those looking for a magical experience. As we hike the gentle morning twilight reveals the lake and mountain vistas around us. After roughly 45 minutes of hiking, we reach the top.
Surrounding views of Lake Tahoe, the Sierra Crest, and mountain landscapes begin to show as the ambient light increases around us.
As we relax and wait for the sun to rise over the lake a variety of breakfast-type pastries, hot water for tea, and coffee will also be provided.
Once we get our fill of pastries, sunrise, and scenery we begin our hike back down the mountain.
This area is one of the best places to view a sunrise over Lake Tahoe due to its prominent point overlooking the center of the lake, allowing for breathtaking views in every direction.
