• This hike takes place on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe as the day is coming to a close. Hiking from our cars we head out to a prominent overlook above The Truckee River Corridor. Hiking through Tahoe National Forest, meandering under pine trees and cedars we eventually hike 500’ in elevation. Hiking Roughly a mile we come to an overlook. Changing daylight and colors meet us as the transition of daytime into twilight begins as the setting sun goes beneath the horizon. The mountains begin to change all around us as daylight exchanges to alpenglow. This hike is an adventurous beginner hike and available for anyone looking for a magical and unbeatable experience.
• Surrounding views of Palisades Tahoe, the Sierra Crest, and mountain landscapes are enjoyed as ambient light changes all around us.
• As we relax and wait for the sun to set stories of Tahoe and the Sierra Crest are shared.
• Once we get our fill of scenery we begin our hike back down the mountain. With headlamps provided as the light begins to fade into the night.
