Health & Safety
- Dress For The Weather: Our summer camp activities are primarily outdoors, and Canadian summers can be unpredictable! Please ensure campers are dressed appropriately for the day’s forecast. Lightweight, breathable clothing, sunscreen, hats, and sturdy, closed-toe shoes are essential. On cooler or rainy days, we recommend layers and waterproof outerwear. Our camp activities happen rain or shine so make sure that your camper is prepared!
- Trail & Activity Area Conditions: While we take great care to maintain our grounds using sustainable methods, some areas of trails and activity zones may have uneven surfaces, loose gravel, or wet patches after rain. Campers should exercise caution and always follow staff instructions when exploring these areas.
- Hydration & Sun Safety: Staying hydrated is key to having a fun and safe time! Campers should bring a refillable water bottle and drink regularly throughout the day. Sunscreen should be applied before arrival, and campers will be encouraged to reapply it during the day. Hats and sunglasses are also recommended to protect against the sun.
- Accessibility: We strive to make our camp as inclusive as possible, but some activities or trail sections may be challenging for those with mobility limitations. If a camper requires accommodations, please let us know in advance, and we will work to ensure they can participate safely and comfortably.
- Safety First: To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, campers must follow all posted signs and staff instructions. Staying within designated areas, using equipment as directed, and respecting boundaries are crucial for their safety.
- Health Protocols: Please inform us of any allergies, medical conditions, or special needs before the start of camp. Medications must be labeled and provided to staff as required. If a camper feels unwell during the day, they will be escorted to the designated first-aid area, and parents or guardians will be contacted promptly.
