About

This trip is ideal for experienced anglers looking to spend a full day fishing, with an opportunity for bigger fish and a wider range of species. Plenty of time for drift, reef and deep water fishing, and perhaps even a wreck. Occasionally our 8 hour trips are specific tope trips, check the availability heading for confirmation.

Optional rod hire is available if needed, and includes basic bait. We would expect passengers on tope trips to have their own rods and tackle, but bait can be arranged at cost.

What could I catch?

As well as mackerel, whiting, dabs, gurnard , pollock, cod, huss, and thornbacks, there is also a chance of going for tope.

Mackerel: June-October
Whiting: All year
Dab: All year
Gurnard: June-October
Pollock: April-November
Cod: June-September
Huss: May-November
Tope: June and September

Rules

All trips depart from Beaumaris Pier and you will need to collect your boarding cards at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Failure to be at the right place in time will result in you missing the boat and your seats being resold.
All trips are weather permitting, details of how to confirm your trip are included in your booking confirmation email. We attempt to contact all passengers to advise them of cancellation or significant changes at the earliest opportunity but this cannot always be guaranteed, especially in the event of multiple cancellations. The easiest way to let you know of any changes is by text so make sure you opt in for text message updates.
Please check our FAQ page for details on checking in, what to bring, and accessibility; this information will also be found in your confirmation email.
Please note: Information as to what species may be caught is provided as a guide only and we can make no guarantees over what can be caught on particular trips.
PLEASE NOTE: our boats are not commercial fishing boats and our trips are not intended for anything other than leisure fishing. We reserve the right to deny boarding to any person we think may be intending anything different. We do not allow large containers such as buckets or barrels on board any of our fishing trips, however you can bring a cool box, especially on longer (4+ hours) trips.
