2-Days Hiking Tour Tyresta National Park
From SEK 3500 - Ages 16+
Overview
Activity details
Join us for an overnight hiking adventure just outside of Stockholm. From start to finish, you’ll feel worlds away from Scandinavia’s largest city. Experience the true essence of hiking as you cook in the wild and sleep under the stars. Tyresta National Park, the largest ancient forest in southern Sweden, boasts ancient trees and abundant wildlife, including deer, boars, moose, and the elusive lynx. While the dense forest makes spotting these animals challenging, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to see birds, especially owls and woodpeckers.
This area has been inhabited since ancient times, with Vikings once calling it home, drawn by the stunning landscapes shaped by ice ages. It’s a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in nature and delve into history.
We’ll guide you through the dense, ancient forest and provide all the necessary hiking equipment. Please note that you’ll need to carry your own gear (all provided by us).
The tour is suitable for anyone with a normal fitness level (approximately 35 km distance) – no need to be an athlete.

Itinerary
Day 1
Our adventure begins with gearing up and attending a detailed briefing about the tour. Committed to sustainability, we'll take a short ride on public transportation to the starting point of our trail. Today’s hike covers 21 km, leading us through the rural outskirts of Stockholm, picturesque farmlands, and ancient forests along the eastern coastline. By afternoon, we’ll transition from the nature reserve to the southern part of Tyresta National Park, where we’ll set up camp. Here, we’ll cook, share stories, and unwind, letting the day’s exertions draw you to sleep.Day 2
Rise early to the quiet beauty of waking up in the National Park before other visitors arrive. After a freshly prepared breakfast, we begin our 13 km trek through the dense forests of the north. Our route will take us past several of the park's tranquil lakes, providing perfect opportunities to fully enjoy the natural surroundings and perhaps capture some memories with your camera. We plan to conclude our hike around lunchtime, allowing you to check into your accommodation and enjoy lunch back in the city.
