Cheese-Making Experience at The Bubbly Goat

Curious about the art of cheese-making? This hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners eager to dive into the world of crafting delicious, homemade cheese made with goat or cow's milk!

What’s Included:

  • Cover the fundamentals: We will go over the basic necessities such as culture, milk selection, equipment and hands on learning
  • Chèvre/Bovre Demonstration: We will demonstrate the process to make chèvre, a traditional, creamy, and flavorful cheese. You'll take home a started batch of chèvre to finish and enjoy in your own kitchen!
  • Make Your Own Farmer’s Cheese: Get hands-on and create your own farmer's cheese (Paneer). You will be able to recreate it effortlessly at home
  • Cajeta: Discover how to make cajeta, a rich and velvety milk caramel that’s perfect for drizzling over coffee, yogurt, or waffles
  • Bonus Recipes: If time permits, we might delve into additional cheese-making recipes and or techniques
  • Farm Visit (weather permitting): If the weather cooperates, we’ll wrap up the day with a visit to our farm. You’ll get to try the time-honored process of hand-milking our goats and enjoy quality time with our herd. Relax in their company, offer gentle pets, and treat them to their favorite snacks

This workshop is designed to provide you with the knowledge, confidence, and resources to kickstart your cheese-making journey. Recipes and 2 take home cheeses are included in your take home to ensure your success!

Location & Details:
The class begins at the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church (20 4th St, Frenchtown, NJ 08825) and will be held rain or shine. Weather permitting, we’ll take a short drive to the farm for the goat interaction portion.
