Cold Water in the Wild

Algonquin Park

3 Days, 2 Nights

We have combined the beauty of the Algonquin Park and cold water immersion to bring you the ultimate weekend of connection, exploration and self expansion.

Imagine spending 3 days and 2 nights under the stars and open sky, hearing the wolves howl, cooking over the fire, and paddling through the wilderness.

As we navigate together into the wilds you will learn and practice the 3 pillars of the WHM: breathing technique, cold exposure and cultivating a mindset that allows you to incorporate these tools into your daily life. A variety of engaging exercises throughout our adventure will have you train your nervous, immune and cardiovascular systems, optimize energy flow, and find a natural balance. This excursion is for beginners AND those looking to strengthen their practice.

Nature and the cold are mirrors that allow us to see parts of ourselves the ordinary world disguises.  This retreat is an opportunity to grow resilience and untap an inner strength we all embody. Consider this an invitation  to unplug and disconnect from the mundane and reconnect with yourself.

About Our Facilitator:

Ashley facilities life changing experiences for people around the world. She is a certified level 2 Wim Hof instructor and has trained with the man internationally known as the Ice Man. She was hand chosen to lead the most recent Wim Hof Method Winter Expedition in Poland with Wim and 300 participants. Ashley combines her remote wilderness, personal training and counselling skills to bring thought provoking, transformative and memorable experiences to her guests.

When Ashley is not guiding people up a mountain in their shorts, into lake, ice bath or leading mind blowing breathwork she can be found rock climbing or trail running near her home in Hamilton

Our intention for this weekend is to bring people together and combine the healing power of nature and the Wim Hof Method. Deepening our connection to nature will deepen our connection to our inner nature. The water and cold teaches us that we are stronger than we think. Guests will leave fulfilled by doing something our of their comfort zones, new friends, a new outlook of life and how they handle stress, the unknown and hard things. Added to that, our trip will take place during the autumn equinox, which marks the moment in the Northern Hemisphere when day and night are equal length. Poised on the cusp between summer and winter. With the Fall Equinox, begins the Libra season (sun sign), which represents balance, equanimity and harmony. Astrologically, the advent of the fall equinox brings opportunity for growth, self-reflection and development.
