Visiting the refuge is an outdoor experience, please dress warmly and take necessary measures for a comfortable visit.

About

Your tickets include an hour-long riding tour conducted on our open-air tram. This tour leaves every hour from our Discovery Area and is led by one of our education or animal care team members. It is a fantastic experience where you will learn about the mission of the refuge and all amazing animals that call the Refuge home. You will also have the opportunity to experience our Discovery Area when not on the guided tour.

Our tram can be accessed by manual wheelchairs but not motorized wheelchairs or scooters. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Weather Related Cancellations

• Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge will close during extreme weather conditions
• We reserve the right to cancel all tours due to inclement weather (or the threat of inclement weather)
• We will do our best to notify you via text or email in the event of cancellations
• Cancellations due to weather can be rescheduled or a gift certificate issued for the full ticket cost
