Uncover the Magic City! Enjoy a spectacular night in Miami underneath the stars at Virginia Key Outdoor Center.
Launch from our lagoon and enjoy paddling out to a spectacular sunset as it lights up the Miami Skyline!

Settle back and delight in the stars glimmering above the Miami Skyline and Port of Miami. We will then begin our journey back and watch the radiant Full Moon rise before us and guide our way back to the Outdoor Center.

**CAN I BRING MY OWN KAYAK/BOARD/CANOE? **
Yes, you can! Please be sure to RSVP ahead of time by selecting the BYOB option. All crafts are required to have a coastguard-approved light. Each person on the craft must have a lifejacket accessible to them. Children are REQUIRED by law to have them all. Lights and Lifejackets are required for these paddles. No lights/lifejackets, no paddle, it's the law. All BYOBs must be set up by the launch at least 20 minutes before start time.

**TIME & PLACE: **
Meet at Virginia Key Outdoor Center, 3801 Rickenbacker Causeway, Miami, FL 33149. Please arrive at least 30-minutes before your event start time. Late arrivals are non-refundable.

**DIFFICULTY: **
This paddle is suitable for experienced beginners. Conditions will determine the length and final route. Not recommended for first-time paddle boarding or kayaking. We will paddle at a leisurely pace.

**DESTINATION: **

Final destination and route are subject to weather. The lagoon is always sheltered, and the creek is calm. We'll paddle to Norris Cut and either the beachside or the port. Both are spectacular at night. It will be dark so please, stay together.

We'll make a stop on the water along the way from which we can enjoy the sights.

**AFTER PADDLE? **

Absolutely. Bring something for the grill, a beverage, and a dry change of clothes. Bring something to share and be prepared to chill with new and old friends. Dominoes, music, view the lovely night sky… If you drink, you must drink responsibly. We do not sell or serve alcohol. Beer and wine are ok, but you must bring your own. Hard liquor is not welcome.

Soft drinks, snacks, insect repellent, and lights are available from the park store.

RENTALS:

Kayaks, Paddleboards, and Surf Skis are available for rent through Virginia Key Outdoor Center.
All Rentals include kayak/paddleboard, paddle, life jacket, and light.

PARKING:

Please park in the VKOC parking lot.

WHAT TO BRING:

Your boat, your paddle, your PFD (which you will wear), lights for night paddling, drinks, and snack food, bug spray is recommended just in case.
Don't forget your camera and cheerful disposition.

Virginia Key Outdoor Center operates this paddle. We will stay together and share the evening. Each participant is responsible for his or her equipment, safety, and enjoyment. Bring a friendly attitude, and you are sure to enjoy the evening.
