Wakesurfing is an off-shoot of wakeboarding. It's a surface watersport where a rider trails behind a boat, riding the boat's wake without being directly pulled by the boat.

You MUST be able to swim to wakesurf.

Please note that a Parent or Guardian MUST ALWAYS be present when children are participating in any activity at Ullswater Wake & Surf and Parents accept full responsibility.

After getting up on the boat's wake (normally by use of a tow rope) wakesurfers then drop the rope and 'surf' the wake waves.

Wakesurfing uses special boards, designed specifically for wakes.

Ullswater Wake & Surf offers one-to-one coaching focused completely on your riding.

We have experience in providing excellent coaching for all levels, from beginner to advance riders.

Our qualified coaches are trained and can offer you a relaxing and enjoyable way to learn wakesurfing on one of the UK's most beautiful lakes.

All equipment is included in the price of your session.

All we recommend is that you bring your 'swimmies' and towel to get dry afterwards! It's also worth making sure you have something warm to wear afterwards. Don't forget sunscreen / sunhats / sun protection on sunny days!

Additional info

Prices are per session and include equipment and wetsuit if required.
If you are a beginner, please allow minimum 30 minutes each for tuition. We can take up to 6 people on the boat for each session so that can be a mix of riders and spectators where space allows. Riders should allow max 20 mins each in the water.
