Nature and Wildlife Photographer Reception with Tom Hausler
Westcave Outdoor Discovery Center
Come meet the photographer behind the lens of many of Westcave's incredible images.
On Friday, November 3rd from 5-8pm, come spend the evening to meet photographer, Tom Hausler and admire some of his photos taken at Westcave and around the world. Light hors-d'oeuvres and refreshments will be provided.
Tom Hausler has been a volunteer and volunteer photographer at Westcave, capturing many of our iconic waterfall, wildlife, and grotto images over the years. He has a passion and talent for capturing the beauty of the natural world for all to enjoy.
The event is free, and donations to our 501(c)-non-profit organization are greatly appreciated.
At the end of the night, Westcave will raffle off one of Tom's photographs. Raffle tickets are $10 for 1 ticket and $20 for 3 tickets. All raffle sales will be donated to Westcave Preserve.
All photos on display are available for purchase day of with 20% of all photo sales will be enthusiastically donated to Westcave Preserve.
Tom Hausler's Bio
Capturing wildlife in their own habitat and beautiful landscapes is challenging but rewarding. When I am in the field it's about the thrill of the chase and can't wait to capture the next image.
Over the last few years I have photographed and volunteered at Westcave Preserve, and at the same time had the opportunity to travel to many wonderful places. Westcave is still my favorite place to visit and photograph.
Just returned from a trip to Norway, one of the most beautiful places in the world. Snow was melting and water was flowing in all the rivers and waterfalls.

Free of charge, but donations are greatly appreciated.
Raffle Tickets for one of Tom's photos will be available for purchase during the event. ($10 for 1 ticket, $20 for 3 tickets).

FAQs
Does this event go to the Grotto?
No. This event takes place in the Environmental Learning Center (ELC) and will not visit the grotto.
Can I take a ride share to Westcave?
Please DO NOT take a ride share (ex. Uber, lyft) to Westcave. We are outside the service range for pickups and you may become stranded.
Do you allow pets?
No pets are allowed on the premises of Westcave Preserve, even if on a leash. Pets are not allowed to be left in a vehicle. If you are found with a pet on the Preserve or locked in your vehicle, you will kindly be asked to leave.
Can we swim at Westcave?
There is no swimming at Westcave or access to the Pedernales River.
Do you have restrooms?
Two composting toilets and sinks for hand washing are available for guest usage. Cleaning and disinfecting procedures are in place.
*Please note: there is NO smoking and no drones are allowed on the property.
