About
The element of water during a yoga practice amplifies wellness by increasing blood flow to both the brain and heart while inducing deeper relaxation.
This empowering, yet flexible, challenge-by-choice practice begins with a slow flow - low to the board - with pose variation options as we progress to standing poses. The practice comes to a close by returning down to the board with a restorative meditation and a paddle back to the beach. Everyday distractions melt away, deepening the focus on strength and alignment as you transition from one pose to the next.
Requirements
- Ages 16 and up
- No previous paddle board or yoga experience is needed
- The yoga class is for all levels and modifications will be offered to make the class accessible for everyone
What's Included
- Local, experienced instructor
- All paddling and safety equipment: SUP, paddles, life jacket , and leashes
- If you are bringing you own board, please bring your own safety equipment
- Extra carabiners for water bottles, straps for sunglasses, waterproof phones cases
- Wetsuits available for rental (optional)
What to bring:
- Bottle of water
- Sun and eye protection such as sunglasses and/or a hat with a brim
- Synthetic, athletic, comfortable clothes that can get wet (yes, you may fall in, but that's OK, we'll help you back on your board)
- Avoid cottons, like jeans and sweatshirts
