Begin your tour with a scenic drive along Dublin’s southern coast, passing through picturesque seaside towns. Enjoy a quick walk up Killiney Hill to take in stunning coastal vistas before a delightful stop at Avoca Handweavers for coffee and a touch of shopping.
2. Wild Wicklow Mountains
As we journey deeper into the Wicklow Mountains, you’ll be awed by the dramatic beauty of the Sally Gap. Rolling heather fields, rugged peaks, endless boglands and deep lakes that showcase the raw, natural beauty of Ireland. This iconic area has featured in Vikings and Braveheart and is home to the famous P.S. I Love You bridge. as well as the fabulous Guinness Lake (Lough Tay).
3. Lunch in a Traditional Irish Pub
After a morning of exploration, relax and enjoy a hearty lunch* at an authentic Irish pub, where the warmth of Ireland’s hospitality is always on the menu. (*food at own cost)
4. Step into History at Glendalough
Join your expert guide to delve into the rich history of the ancient monastic settlement at Glendalough, established in the 6th century by St. Kevin. Arrive 5 minutes prior to departure time
Pickup locations must be confirmed in advance as we don't go to stops unless someone has booked from that location. See wildwicklow.ie/pickup-points for details.
What to bring
Prepare for all seasons in a day, as hot, cold and wet and windy weather can be on the cards. Comfortable non slip shoes are advised if you wish to take part in the walking elements of the itinerary.
Cancellations
Public Day Tours:
All public tour reservations are refundable up to 48 hours prior to the tour start time. In the unlikely event, we have to cancel the tour due to insufficient reservations Wild Wicklow Tours will contact you to reschedule to another date or refund your credit card the full ticket amount.
Private Day Tours:
For all private group bookings we require 50% payment at the time of booking and the remaining 50% two weeks prior to the tour date. In the unfortunate event that you must cancel your tour we will give a full refund if cancelled more that 2 weeks prior to the tour date. If tour is cancelled within 2 weeks of the tour date a 50% cancellation fee will apply.
