It’s hard to put into words what makes this expedition so incredible—it’s a full, immersive stay in Lombok. Come away with us and be responsible for two boats and their crew deviating from fishing, saving more than 60 sharks, whilst exploring the waters that surround their island.

Through "Project Hiu," this trip offers a hands-on approach to preserving marine life, by repurposing shark fishing boats for tourism and providing alternative livelihoods for local fishermen. Designed for the ultimate experience of Project Hiu and those serious about shark conservation, this expedition gives you a deeper involvement in conservation through visits to the shark market & island where the fishermen live. You'll have the unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the fight against shark exploitation and support local communities

• Daily dive trips exploring the local tropical reefs (swim with baby reef sharks & explore the stunning pink beach).
• Daily Mucho Relaxo breathwork & movement sessions with Chelsea. These sessions are designed to enhance your physical and mental resilience and also invoke deep calm and relaxation.
• Local guided tour to Benang Stokel waterfall, Benang Kelambu Waterfall, Sukarara Traditional Village & Sade Traditional Village.
• We travel to witness sharks being brought into one of the largest shark markets in Indonesia to be processed and sold for their fins. We will get the chance to observe and document catch being brought in from all areas of surrounding oceans & witness the fin drying process.
• Surf lesson at Selong blanc
• Lunches when out on the boat (served vegan)
• Meet the Project Hiu crew and see where and how the fishermen live by immersing yourself in the true local culture on “fisherman island”. We will take a tour of the ways Project Hiu has shaped the island and meet the locals who made it possible.
• Line training and depth sessions up to 30m
• Transport during the stay- we will be travelling up to an hour to the boats, markets & waterfalls
• Added extra! Molchanovs accredited Wave 1 or 2 Freedive course. (Online theory to be completed before the holiday). Courses will be stretched out over 5 days leaving you ample time to meet course requirements.
