We operate in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe, and we require a minimum of 8 guests for the cruise to proceed. If we need to cancel the cruise due to unsafe weather conditions or because we do not meet the minimum number of guests, we will contact you to see if you can reschedule. If you are unable to reschedule, you will receive a full refund.

What is a fjord?
A fjord is a long, deep and narrow inlet of the sea with steep mountains or cliffs, created by glacial erosion.
Will I see whales on this cruise?
Many of our guests who dress suitably for outdoor viewing have often enjoyed spotting whales during the cruise. However, it's important to note that this isn't specifically a whale-watching cruise, and while sightings are a delightful surprise, they cannot be guaranteed.
Can I try fishing
Fishing is not part of this cruise.
Will the sails be used during this cruise?
While Stella Oceana is indeed a sailing yacht, its sails are typically reserved for longer voyages. On this Trollfjord cruise, we will be using the yacht's motor to navigate, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable journey through the breathtaking scenery.

We require a minimum of 8 guests. If the minimum is not reached, we may contact you to reschedule or cancel for full refund.

Is there drinking water onboard?
Absolutely! We provide drinking water onboard, sourced from the pristine Arctic mountains of Northern Norway. Renowned for its purity, this local tap water is among the cleanest in the world, ensuring a refreshing and delightful experience for our guests.
Can I buy or bring alcohol onboard?
This is a alcohol free cruise, and it is prohibited to bring your own.
Are there any other drinks or food available for purchase onboard?
No
Can I buy or borrow a swim suit onboard?
No. If you need to buy one, you can typically find them at the following stores in town: Cubus, Sport 1 or Sport Outlet.
Can I go in the hot tub in my underwear, workout clothes, or nude?
No, it is prohibited.
Can I book the hot tub add-on once I arrive on the cruise?
If there are already other guests who have booked the hot tub, then it is a possibility. Otherwise, the hot tub needs to be booked in advance so we can plan and prepare for the cruise accordingly.
Is there anything special you can do for a birthday, anniversary, or special celebration?
You are welcome to bring a cake, but cutlery (plates/forks) and dining services for this are not provided.
Cancellations
Please be informed of our cancellation & refund policy.
Full payment is due at the time of booking. Because we specialize in small groups, operate in a remote location and do not overbook our boat, we enforce the following cancellation policies.
Public Tour
- Individual bookings of 5 or less people will receive a full refund or credit if cancellation is made 48 hours or more prior to the tour start time.
- For group bookings of 6 or more people a full refund will be issued if cancellations are made 7 days or more prior the tour start time. A 50% refund is given for cancellations between 6 days and 48 hours prior to the tour start time. Cancellations requested less than 48 hours prior to the tour start time will not be refunded.
Private Charters
Cancellations made less than 90 days from the trip start date are not refundable. Iif a cancellation is made 90 days or more prior to the tour start date, 30% of the full amount is a non-refundable deposit, and the remaining balance is refundable. A NOK 1,000 administrative fee will be charged if rescheduling the date of reservation less than 90 days from the tour start date. No additional charges will be applied if rescheduling the date of reservation 90 days or more prior to the tour start date. Charges will be billed to the party responsible for the booking confirmation, whether it is an individual customer, a travel agent, or a company, and explicitly excludes World Sea Explorers AS from responsibility in this regard. Tour rescheduling is permitted within a timeframe of up to one year from the date of the initial booking.
Customers are highly encouraged to purchase personal travel insurance for any issues that may arise such as illness, weather delays, airline strikes, or other circumstances that prohibit travel on your part.
What if World Sea Explorers cancels the trip?
We reserve the right to cancel for any reason including, but not limited to weather, ocean conditions, passenger count, mechanical issues, safety for you, our guests, and our crew. We'll do our best to reschedule your trip based on availability or you'll be issued a refund in full. We will contact you via the email address and/or phone number provided in the reservation. We are not responsible if we can not contact you for important information regarding the tour.

Late arrivals and no-shows
Everyone in your group must arrive on time (10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time). Do not underestimate driving time. It is your responsibility to arrive on time and we reserve the right to leave at our scheduled departure time. No refunds will be offered if you miss the boat.
