What made you interested in joining the FareHarbor ‘Ohana?

The genesis of my FareHarbor story can be traced back to a time of professional restlessness and curiosity. I was a jack of many trades, but I was yearning for a more enduring endeavor.

When I stumbled upon FareHarbor,I was immediately drawn to the company’s backstory, which I read about in INC Magazine (“How This Underdog Startup Scooped Up 90 Percent of Its Rival’s Business-in 1 Week,” By Kevin J. Ryan). Moreover, the relationship-centric approach and the inherent swagger and confidence to swing for the fences to empower tour and attraction operators really struck a chord with me.

You’re coming up on 5 years at FareHarbor, what has your FareHarbor journey been like?

Reflecting on my five-year journey at FareHarbor, a whirlwind of memories, challenges, and triumphs come to mind. It’s been a vibrant tapestry of change, growth, and hard work, woven with threads of authenticity, creativity, wit, and an insatiable thirst for fun.

My time at FareHarbor has given me opportunities to nurture a world-class enterprise account management team, while carefully and continually curating and customizing our bespoke, high-touch experience. It’s a journey that has given me the privilege to influence and learn from a bevy of extraordinary individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Five years may seem significant, but in the grand scheme of our mission, it honestly feels like we’re just getting started. There is so much more to achieve, so many more memories to craft, and an army of young, vibrant, fun-loving ambassadors to mentor.

As I look forward to the next five years, I am filled with anticipation for the legacy we will create. Here’s to the next half-decade of our FareHarbor journey!

What is your approach to leadership at FareHarbor and how have you successfully scaled the Enterprise division?

As a leader, I strive to bring both compassion and strategy to my role. My goal is to connect authentically with my team while also driving results. I believe this balance of “heart” and “smart” is key to building a successful and sustainable business.

At the core of my leadership is developing relationships. I take the time to understand what motivates each person, how they work best, and what their interests are. By tapping into the power of relationships, I can nurture an environment where people feel valued, empowered, and engaged.

I aim to lead with humility. I know I don’t have all the answers, and I welcome feedback from my team. I also understand that change is constant, so I stay adaptable in my approach. Being vulnerable at times allows me to connect more genuinely with my team.

As we build the Enterprise Division, I will focus on laying this foundation of relationships and culture. It’s not just about profits or results – it’s about the people. I will take time to listen, communicate openly, and role model the values I wish to see in our organization.

The path forward will have its challenges, but by embracing vulnerability and leading with compassion, I know we can foster a culture of belonging. My hope is that our division will be known not just for what we achieve but how we achieve it. The strongest results come from investing in our people first. This will be my guiding philosophy as we grow.
