Aside from the action-packed competition show, this operator also offers cultural and culinary experiences to their guests. Ideal for families and friends seeking fun things to do while in Ketchikan, Alaska, the renowned lumberjack show is a must-see for visitors looking to get a taste of the rich history of southeast Alaska.

Challenge: Customer-facing booking kiosks

The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show welcomes hundreds of visitors arriving at the port of Ketchikan every day. Customers walk up to purchase tickets for the next available showtime. Previously, the front desk had to service one customer at a time, creating a waiting line outside the ticketing office and resulting in a subpar booking experience for their customers.

Three to four staff are typically stationed at the front desk to help customers book the next available time slot. With the high season approaching, the company set out to find a solution that could help them sell bookings faster, process more customers at a time, and create a more  enjoyable booking experience.

The Results

The easy-to-use and intuitive interface of Kiosk mode allowed customers to effortlessly book on their own, “tak[ing] a couple clicks and [their] customers have purchased their tickets.”

Aside from saving on resources and providing a smoother booking experience for customers, the flexibility and autonomy of Kiosk mode also enabled their business to capture more walk-up sales. They “open[ed] the Kiosk when [they’re] not open”, allowing guests to book at any time of the day or night.
