How to set up Cross-Sell Combos in three simple steps

Expand your offerings and grow revenue by connecting with other operators.

Cross-Sell Combos makes it easy to expand your offerings and grow revenue by connecting with other operators — or with another one of your own Dashboards.

This feature works just like a standard Combos setup, but takes the power of collaboration even further. Plus, you stay in full control of your products, pricing, and policies while giving customers more choice in a seamless checkout.

Here’s how to set it up in three easy steps.

Step 1: Pick your perfect partner

Already have a partner in mind? That’s a great place to start. To connect with another operator, you’ll first need to establish that relationship directly — FareHarbor doesn’t facilitate pairings on your behalf. This is your chance to tap into the local network you’ve built and turn those connections into added value for your customers.

If you’d rather cross-sell from another Dashboard you own, that’s an excellent option too.

Whether you’re teaming up with a trusted operator in your destination or linking multiple brands under your business, Cross-Sell Combos makes it simple to bring everything together in one seamless booking flow.

Pro tip: Meet fellow operators at one of our in-person events, a local Meetup Powered by FareHarbor or FareHarbor Spark. Alternatively, you can join the FareHarbor Community to connect with thousands of operators online.

Step 2: Decide what to sell (and how)

Now it’s time to plan your strategy. The key is selecting offerings that naturally fit together and create a smooth booking journey. Think about how you can curate an itinerary that feels authentic, memorable, and gives your customers the kind of “locals” experience they’ll rave about.

  • For the selling partner: Think about your typical customer flow and where an add-on would enhance the experience. Select complementary tours, activities, or retail items from your partner to feature in your Combos flow.
  • For the supplying partner: Decide which experiences to share and set pricing that aligns with your goals. You’ll stay in control of your availability and policies, while also receiving payment directly from the customer.

Here are a few ideas for extra inspiration:

  • Zipline Adventure + River Rafting Excursion
  • Historic City Tour + Craft Brewery Tasting
  • Scenic Train Ride + Afternoon Tea Service
  • Cave Exploration + Hot Springs Soak
  • Art Gallery Visit + Pottery-Making Class
  • Horseback Ride + Picnic in the Vineyards

Step 3: Loop in our team for setup

Once you’re ready to launch, reach out to our Support team and we’ll handle the technical setup for you. Whether you’re partnering with another operator or linking your own Dashboards, we’ll confirm the partnership, connect the systems, and make sure everything is ready behind the scenes.

That way, you can focus on building your first Cross-Sell Combos, offering customers an even wider selection of experiences, and building revenue.

A couple of things to note

  • FareHarbor does not facilitate partnerships or provide an inventory list. You’ll need to establish those relationships independently.
  • If you’re cross-selling with another operator (not within the same ownership or business), FareHarbor will verify the partnership with both parties before the connection is made.

Cross-Sell Combos opens the door to new collaborations and more revenue opportunities, all while keeping your booking flow smooth and under your control. For more information, here’s how to get started with Cross-Sell Combos in the Help Center.
